Hello again! My name is Jacque Tyrrell, I’m a social worker from Baltimore, Maryland! I love me some crab cakes and football!!

I am passionate about many things, but especially mental health. As a therapist, I am known for my authenticity, I like to keep things real and can relate to so many things. My clients would describe my style as easy going and inviting. I want you to feel like you’re talking to an actual person - not a clinical robot.

During your time in therapy, I will challenge and encourage you to push yourself. It won’t always be easy, but you will not have to do it alone and if you stick with it, it will absolutely be worth it!

My main goal is to provide you a safe space where you can feel heard and accepted. My therapy room is a no-judgement zone, where you will be met with compassion and empathy. We will work together in creating a plan that fits your individual needs, tweaking it along the way if needed. Whatever your goals are, I will be sure to provide you with accountability and all of the support in the world.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and friends, traveling, or getting into one of my many hobbies (lol).

Some fun facts about me:

  • I am a horror fan and looove spooky season

  • I can ride a motorcycle

  • I like to get crafty

 My approach

I offer an empathic counseling style, with a touch of realness, accountability, and humor – always custom to you!

  • I am future focused, strength based, and an integrative - meaning I use a combination of techniques for a more personalized approach. I believe there is more than one way to heal and learn about ourselves. I am versatile and can offer a soft and supportive approach or I can also provide a direct, no nonsense approach when needed. Whatever your needs, I am here for you.

  • I believe in being human and having human moments. Everyone has faults, everyone is complicated, and everyone makes mistakes. We are not meant to be here to struggle on our own. I believe in community (or least the power to build our own community) and I believe that every person deserves belonging.

  • As cliche’ as it may be, mindset really does matter. During our time together, we will explore fixed and growth mindsets and dive into limiting beliefs that may be holding you back. A true growth mindset means more than being open to new information, it means being able to spot your strengths AND weaknesses then using them as opportunities for growth.
